Many diets have been in the market. I believe many of us have tried out at least one of the these diets like Atkins and diet slimming pills and low-carb diet. It either turned out to be success first but then once we switched back to normal diet , it turns out to be worse (Under most circumstances, our weight bounced to double or some damages are done to our body organs):sick:. Most of us not only have to face our weight problems but also health problems. We keep trying all kinds of diet methods to keep our body and mind kicking alive!!!!Does this sound familiar to you? Recently, someone introduced me alkaine-acid diet. It is based on the theory that body works best under ph 7.5. But have you ever wonder most of the things you consumed actually belong to acidic catergory like pork, beef, chicken and even fruits (most of them except tomatoes and avocados):O. This makes your body acidic and thus, tiredness and aching and not to mention diseases start to invade your body. The funny thing is that even tap-water is harmful to us. Why? Only distilled water have neutral ph and it depends on the brands of the distilled water ........i am so shocked to hear about this. Only exercise will alkalise the body. But the problem for over-weight people is that exercise can be tedious and sometimes the effect is not as good as we have expected. Sound familiar again? We are what we consume. Do you also find hard to concenrate , having muscle pains ,joints pains , enlarged glands? All these are the key symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome . [b]What to do?[/b] Adequate rest and careful pacing of physical and mental activities are very important. [b]Food to Avoid[/b] Sugar,sweets, honey and cakes - These can cause blood sugar levels quickly. These "high" followed by the sugar "lows", which cause tiredness. Alcohol - should be avoided as well [b]Foods, Supplement to take[/b] Evening primrose and fish oil supplements give omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids Multivitamin and minerals supplement for those on restricted diet. Medium ripe bananas , apples, pears, apricots, oranges, grapefruits, plums, peaches help to maintain steady blood sugar levels. Porridge oats, basmati rice, unsweetened muesli, pasta and rye bread help to relase sugar into bloodstream gradually. Thus, helps to reduce tiredness. Chickpeas, kidney beans are sources of low fat protein that help to keep blood sugar levels steady. :smartass:
