Acne is a disorder of the skin that affects adults as well as teens. It occurs when follicles, or pores, become blocked. Oils, naturally present in skin, are unable to drain and become blocked inside the follicles. Before long bacteria begins to grow.

Skin blemishes referred to as blackheads and whiteheads then begin to appear. When the oil and bacteria that is trapped remain below the skin, the blemish is referred to as a whitehead. A blackhead occurs when the oil and bacteria are partially exposed. The color of the blemish turns black due to pigmentation within the skin. Blackheads usually last far longer than whiteheads due to the fact that it takes longer to drain.

It is believed that hormones, diet, stress and vitamin deficiency may play a role in the development of acne. While acne includes both whiteheads and blackheads, there are a variety of types of acne that range in severity.

Acne Vulgaris is the most common form of acne and includes everything from whiteheads and blackheads to cysts. Acne Vulgaris may be either mild or moderate as well as severe. The mild and moderate forms of Acne Vulgaris include common pimples with inflammation apparent below the surface of the skin as well as blackheads. Small red bumps that have no ‘head’ may also be present and are known as papules.

Acne Vulgaris in its most severe form includes lesions that are known as nodules and cysts. These are normally much larger than mild or moderate acne and may be more painful. Nodules are usually small and hard, below the skin and do not contain pus while cysts do. Scars can appear if Acne Vulgaris is not treated correctly.

A gentle cleanser and a benzoyl peroxide cream can be effective in treating mild to moderate forms of Acne Vulgaris. Avoid overwashing; gently cleansing the face in the morning and at night should be sufficient. Taking care not to touch your face during the day and using oil free cosmetics may also help. Extreme caution should be used in trying to ‘pop’ pimples, as this can result in scarring. Papules (small red bumps with no head) should never be popped or squeezed.

Acne Rosacea can easily be confused with Acne Vulgaris and often appears to be quite similar. Most people who suffer from Acne Rosacea are adults over the age of 30. A red rash along with bumps and pimples signal the presence of Acne Rosacea, which normally appears on cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. Blackheads are normally not present with Acne Rosacea. This type of acne can be quite serious because when it is left untreated it can actually cause excessive tissue to begin growing.

There are three types of extremely severe acne; all of which can be disfiguring. Acne Conglobata usually appears in men instead of women. It is commonly found on the trunk and limbs of the body instead of the face. Individuals normally develop this form of acne at some point between the ages of 18 and 30. It can remain active for several years and can be extremely difficult to treat. Dermatologists normally use Accutane as a treatment.

Young men sometimes experience what is known as Acne Fulminans. Typical acne may be accompanied by fever and aching joints with the onset of Acne Fulminans. Oral steroids as well as Accutane may be used to treat this form of acne.

Women between the ages of 20 and 40 may experience what is known as Pyoderma Faciale. This type of acne is generally confined to the face. Unlike other forms of acne, this form does not last for years; instead its presence is normally restricted to a year or less. It can, however; be very painful as well as disfiguring.

Do you look in the mirror and see bumps, bumps and more bumps all over your face and in the most embarrassing places like right on your lips? Do you look at other people’s faces and wonder what it will be like to have smooth and even skin and not be told by sympathetic friends and relatives trying to console you that “It’s not what’s on the outside that counts but what is on the inside…”

(Bet you hear this and go…yeah, that’s easy for you to say, you don’t have acne!)

Take it from a guy who was afflicted with acne for close to 8 years…this image distorting skin crisis characterized by bumps, excessively oily or dry skin and an accompanying low self-esteem and depression (in most cases) is simply horrifying!

The good news my friends is if you suffer from acne, or know someone who does, it can be controlled and eventually cured without spending tons of money on drugs, visits to dermatologists or as I have heard, even plastic surgery. Trust me, I have been there and know how acne can ruin a person’s whole self-image and the desperate measures one might be considering to get rid of it.

The first thing any acne sufferer must realize is that any disease-regardless of its medical diagnosis-is a product of constipation, a clogging up of the body tissues. Consequently, as the body fights to unclog its organs, the process becomes manifested in several ways.

Disease is an attempt of the body to rid itself of these toxins and since, according to Dr. Stanley Burroughs, the skin is the next most important eliminating organ (second only to the lungs), acne is merely an indication that you need to cleanse yourself internally and take simple measures to alleviate the outer symptoms as the cleanse proceeds.

Just how does one do an internal cleanse?

Well, as I have mentioned in quite a few of my articles, the best way to do an internal cleanse (and the fastest I must say) will be to undergo a juice or water fast. Being a radical discipline, it must be undertaken with care but it is with confidence in a fast’s unmatched ability to restore health that you can be rest assured to see a drastic improvement in your skin condition at the end of about a 3 to 4 day fast.

I have covered the subjects on the types, when, why and how long to undergo a fast in my e-book, but you can always do your own research in regards to this restorer of health.

As a preliminary stage to a fast and as a suggested dietetic lifestyle, if you are serious about curing your acne and keeping it off, you must make a change in your diet and eliminate all mucus (acid) forming foods such as processed (junk) foods, fast foods, confectioneries, soft-drinks and eat more wholesome and natural foods like your fresh fruits and leafy vegetables, nuts, root vegetables, fresh juices-basically foods that are mucus (alkaline-forming) binding.

Though covered in chapter 13 of the core e-book of my site, you can type up ‘mucus forming and binding foods’ in any search engine like Google and educate yourself more on this subject. It is not by co-incidence or an error that Hippocrates ‘the father of medicine’ once stated that: “Let your foods be your medicine and your medicine your foods as nature is the healer of all diseases!”

Although knowing what to eat is of uttermost importance, you must learn when and how to eat these right foods. I will make a statement here that may go against every thing you may have read or heard on nutrition but I know what I am saying from close to 6 years on trying this simple method on myself. The worst meal that we as humans partake of is ‘breakfast.’

How so the uninformed may ask; well based on scientifically proven research on thousands of people for over two centuries on such health principles as food combination and the realization that the human body goes through a cleansing process from twelve midnight until twelve noon, and a building program from twelve noon to twelve midnight, your meals during these respective periods should be harmonious with the natural processes.

As a result here is a suggested daily menu plan

Breakfast:
A choice of the following
1.A tall glass of Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice.
2.A tall glass of Fresh squeezed lemonade flavored with genuine maple
Syrup (the darker the grade the better)

Lunch:
A mono-meal of an organic fruit in season for example
Apples in the fall and winter, Melons in the summer, Berries in spring.
Dinner:
Fresh, home-made salads.
A simple dressing could be
(a)Lemon juice, olive oil and un-iodized sea-salt
(b)Avocadoes or Green coconuts blended with tomatoes and some sea salt
Or
Raw and/or cooked root vegetables such as Celery, Carrots, Potatoes, Plantains, raw or slightly heated fruit veggies (these can be blended into Soups or dressings for your salads)

Some factors that must also be noted to ensure the maximum assimilation of nutrients from our meals include thoroughly masticating or chewing the mouthfuls of one’s meals for as the Indian proverb goes “chew your foods well as the stomach has no teeth.” In addition, I have also outlined the menu plan above keeping proper food combinations in mind.

For free information on this subject, you can type up ‘food combining’ in any search engine or check out the URL in the next paragraph. Moreover, refrain from the habit of drinking liquids with your meals, as I stated in the free resources section of my site on controlling asthma, drinking ANY liquids with your meals tends to dilute the digestive juices in your stomach which consequently deters digestion, assimilation and increases the tendency for constipation. If you must drink water after or before a meal, wait a solid hour or so before or after eating.

As is known in the drugless healing world, this simple, yet extremely effective dietetic change has been known to alleviate most otherwise incurable human ailments including acne, asthma and obesity. One factor I must add (from my own personal experience with this device while undergoing a 10 day juice fast) is to AVOID THE USE OF MICROWAVES STARTING NOW.

For more information on this device, refer to http://www.bodyhealthsoul.com/acne.html, you will also see free tips for controlling acne and the photos on facial massaging, which will be part of the external measures needed to aid with alleviating acne symptoms.

Now that I have briefly covered the internal measures to reducing acne, let’s go over the external ones.

*Never repeat the use of a pillowcase in 2 days, always change them nightly so get 7 clean ones. Be conscious of how they are folded to ensure you sleep on the unexposed side upon unfolding the pillowcases.

*As much as possible, keep unwashed hands off of your face, if you must touch it, say for example, to scratch an itch, ensure to use the back of your hands.

*Try to sleep on your right side. Besides making your sleep more refreshing, this practice ensures that you keep your face off of the pillow and freer to breathe during the night.

As an added benefit, your heart functions much better as you are not putting pressure on it based on this position of the body during sleep.

*Wash your hair with a mild shampoo every night especially if you use greasy hair products, or use a wrap-around nightcap that covers the hair and ensure the cap is washed every morning.

*Make frequent visits to the steam room of a gymnasium or you can steam the face at home as an alternative. The aim here is to aid the skin in eliminating toxins through sweating.

*Massage the face regularly as this not only aids in cleansing the face, but it firms up the skin and alleviates unwanted signs of aging such as crow’s feet, bags under the eyes, lines and wrinkles.

*Engage in some form of exercise to aid the body in detoxification and metabolism.

Being one of the three limbs of drugless healing, exercise keeps you younger, fit and healthy…like you didn’t already know that. I must single out Yoga as one of the best forms of exercise to choose. Some poses such as the Sun Salutations, the Shoulder-Stand and the Peacock pose have been known through the ages to help alleviate many skin disorders and did I mention they give you the added bonus of making you stronger.

*For my male readers; if you are of African or Hispanic descent, most barbers recommend you use electric clippers to shave. For Caucasians & Asians, I have observed that using razors might not be a problem although if you prefer, you can use electric clippers also. Ensure that you shave in the direction of the hair's growth (mostly downwards) for an after-shave; it is advised that you perform the facial massaging as well afterwards.

In conclusion, acne, as impossible as it at times may seem, is (like almost every other disease) very easy to control and with drugless, all natural methods at that. You just need to be shown how. It is my hope that in a few weeks after you read AND apply the steps in this article; you too can go out and get that date, or flaunt that smooth face to the world as I can guarantee you that acne will become a thing of your past…and will stay that way for life.

Most who have it don't know what it is, but once you become a more informed individual, you can treat more accurately the problem of acne. Though there are many treatments in the market today, it is necessary to see beyond the hype and advertising that clouds the senses from finding the most suitable solution to treat your problem as possible, and when that happens you can approach the world with a new face of confidence all to see. Here was a good place start your search.

First things first, you must make yourself more knowledgeable about those treatments that may be best for you by researching, and also consulting your doctor about the severity of your problem. Once those items are accomplished, you can be more confident in your awareness of what products are most appropriate for treating, and fully resolving your particular acne problems. There many varieties, and the most common forms are easily treatable with the right item, but most have no idea.

Some specific information includes the identifying of what types of acne might be afflicting you, and the various means to lead to treatment. This can be the area where most, upon realizing these multiple conditions, consult their physician about what they should do about the acne problem affecting them adversely. First off, some of these strains of acne are papules, cystic acne, acne rosecea, and acne vulgaris. The most common variety to be found and to be cured is acne vulgaris.

The acne starts with a microscopic lesion in the skin, then transforms into what is commonly referred to as a blackhead or whitehead, and it seems they appear most frequently on the forehead and chin. The possibility of it worsening increases with hormonal differences, humid weather, and through the application of some those oily cosmetics such as: sunscreens and petroleum-based cosmetics. These steps usually making pustules, papules, or nodules will form creating the familiar acne.

With pustules, redness and pus-filled bumps are seen, and papules are the more common but pus-less form of acne. With nodules, however, the problem is a bit more severe. When these appear, it is usually in the form of larger and firmer inflamed swellings underneath the skin, and these are sometimes called cysts because of their pus-filled, sac-like formations. With cystic acne, this is usually caused by the infection getting further into adjoining skin, and pain and scarring is frequent.

With 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide the most recommended solution, the acne vulgaris can be easily cleared up, and comprises of both whiteheads and blackheads. Acne rosecea is most often suffered by middle-aged adults, and can be brought on by changing hormones as well, but can be considered one of the most severe but curable cases of acne. A common prescribed method of treatment for this strain are antibiotics. With all these variations of acne, it is best to consult with a doctor.

When considering all these methods at the disposal of many consumers, it is a good idea to not be motivated by advertising, but instead research all of the different kinds of treatments as much as possible for your own safety and satisfaction.

Though a physician's opinions and advice can be the best way to find a solution to whatever degree of severity your acne takes on, and even then, a second or third opinion could help to give you broader picture of what ailment you could have.

And the good news is.....pizza, fried foods, and chocolate do not cause acne!

Acne, or pimples, usually starts in the early teens when the oil glands in the body start making more sebum (oil). Approximately 85% of teens and pre-teens - along with many adults get acne. It is so common that it is considered a normal part of growing up. Acne predominately appears on the face, and sometimes on the back, shoulders and chest. Acne can be heredity, and girls usually get it at a younger age than boys.

Teens get acne because of hormone changes that come with puberty - not because of what they are eating! However, acne is not uncommon to have in your 30's and 40's.

A 'whitehead' results when the hair follicle, or pore, gets plugged up with oil, dead skin cells or germs. If the pore remains open the air touches it and turns it black - it then becomes a 'blackhead'. A blackhead is not caused by dirt.

Acne can be exacerbated by: menstruating; stress; contraception pills that contain male hormones; oily cosmetics; working in hot humid places or with oil or grease; some types of medicines; or hormone changes during pregnancy.

Having acne can affect one's self esteem and body image. This can manifest in numerous ways including: the person growing their hair long and keeping it over their face; by avoiding eye contact; always keeping their body hidden; taking sick days - and missing work or study. Acne can bring on loss of appetite, lethargy, mood swings, crying and sleep issues.

There are lots of acne treatments - some tried and true - and some not - these include: benzoyl peroxide; a course of antibiotics - for severe cases; for some females who may be producing excessive hormones - birth control pills; retinoids eg Retin-A - via prescription; acne creams and cleansers; laser treatments and herbal treatments. With most of these it can take several weeks before you notice any change.

Acne scaring has in the past been of a major concern to a lot of people - there is, however, a new laser treatment for acne scars. The laser treats the damaged skin - resurfacing it, leaving healthy skin unaffected - the laser goes deep into the acne scars - causing collagen remodelling. The procedure is a walk-in, walk-out treatment. It usually takes 4 - 5 treatments for best results.

If you discover that you recently suffer from acne, dont desperate, there are possible cures for this skin disease. If the cause of acne has been established, a solution is possible.

Anyone with or who has had acne can tell you, how many times a day they've cleaned their faces with anti-bacterial facial wash and still faced new pimples the next day.

The same goes for all the other topical creams for acne available in the market, which kills germs and open up blocked pores. These may provide temporary relief, but you will never experience acne free skin by only focusing on acne from the outside.

The real and main causes of acne are hormone imbalance, water retention and toxins. Lets talk about hormones. Hormones are chemicals that are produced by glands in the body and circulate in the bloodstream that control numerous body functions including sebum (skin oil) production and regulation. The hormones that are responsible for acne are called androgens. This is because androgens stimulate the sebaceous glands (glands in the skin that secrete oil to the surface of the skin.)

When you have too many androgens in the blood, your sebaceous glands begin to over-produce oil in the skin. You have to be clear that it is not only oil that will cause acne but its the initial problem you want to resolve.

The next part of the problem is toxins in the blood and lymph. When your liver and kidneys are not properly cleansing the blood and are overloaded, the liver is unable to properly 'deactivate' used hormones and remove them from the body.

The combination of oil, bacteria and toxins blocks pores generate Acne. Inside the blocked pores also are bacteria which grow in a low-oxygen environment. This bacteria aggravates the skin condition and causes an inflammatory disease, otherwise known as acne.

Hormone imbalance doesn't only cause acne, but can be responsible for many other problems including: allergies, fatigue, headaches, mood swings and insomnia.

For most teenagers, hormone imbalance occurs during puberty when the body is busy producing hormones for growth, maturity and reproduction. In case of adult acne, it predominately arises from the inability of the liver and kidneys to effectively eliminate excess hormones and toxins from the blood.

In order to cure your acne you have to be able to get your hormones into balance by feeding your body the key nutrients that aid hormone regulation in the glands and also strengthen the liver which is the other hormone regulatory system. You have to also apply a topic that trigger the self healing process of your skin, this way you will avoid further blemishes while you are treating the main cause of acne.

Understanding how to treat your Acne involves knowing which type of Acne may have. Acne has many variations, ranging in severity from mild to much more serious cases that can cause disfigurement. There are many treatments for acne available on the market, but it is very important to first identify your Acne type before choosing a treatment.

Acne Vulgaris

The most common form of Acne is named Acne Vulgaris. This type of acne can be easily identified by looking at the characteristics of the lesions.

- Whiteheads: When a pore becomes completely blocked by trapping sebum, dead skin cells, and bacteria, you will notice a white appearance on the surface. Whiteheads normally will disappear fast than blackheads on your skin. You should resist the temptation to pop these pimples

- Blackheads: When are pore is only partially blocked, the trapped sebum, bacteria and dead skin will have slowly drained to the surface of your skin. The black color is caused by your skins pigment and melanin reacting with oxygen. Blackheads will normally take longer to disappear than whiteheads. You should also resist the temptation to pop these pimples too.

- Pustules: You can identify a pustule by a red circle with a white or yellow center. The pustule will look similar to a whitehead with the difference being inflammation. Pustules are commonly referred to as Zits.

- Papules: The papule is a red, inflamed and tender bump on the skin with no visible head. You should not attempt to squeeze this lesion as you may cause or exacerbate scarring.

- Severe Acne Vulgaris: The sever types of Acne Vulgaris include Nodules and Cysts and will be quite painful. You should consult your dermatologist for treating these types of acne.

Acne Rosacea

Acne Rosacea may look very similar to Acne Vulgaris and often causes confusion. Millions of people are affected by Acne Rosacea, and it mostly strikes people over the age of 30. It will start to appear as a reddish rash on the cheeks, forehead, nose and/or chin. You may also notice small bumps, skin blemishes or pimples in the area. Blackheads are not a symptom of Rosacea. You should consult your dermatologist if you suspect you have Rosacea, because treatment is often very different.

There are other very serious forms of Acne such as Acne Conglobata, Acne Fulminans, Gram-Negative Folliculitis and Pyoderma Faciale. These forms of Acne are very rare, but they can be disfiguring, painful and have psychological effects.

It is always recommended that you consult with your dermatologist to confirm the type of Acne you have and the best treatments available. The above information should only be used as a reference, and only a trained dermatologist can accurately diagnose your Acne.

Let's talk about hormones.

After deciding visiting a dermatologist, you may wonder whether prescription drugs are effective for the prevention of acne as well. Experts say that all standard dermatological treatments for adult acne should also be used for prevention.

If topical combination therapy of traditional medicine is unsuccessful, then your dermatologists may suggest that you begin taking oral antibiotics such as tetracycline, erythromycin, or minocycline while using topical creams. They may also suggest that you undergo some laser treatments just to get rid of those acne scars.

Fortunately, there are other ways to do it naturally. There are skin care products these days that have natural ingredients and biological substances that are effective in treating acne scars as well.

However, these acne scar treatments will be useless if you fail to identify the causes of acne. Chances are, it will only re-occur and get back to being a problem once again. So, it's always better to identify its causes before you treat the acne and get rid of the scar.

Some experts explain acne breakouts based on a psychological dilemma. They say that a persistent skin symptom can be a message from your inner self. Stress and an imbalanced diet may be triggering this skin problem.

Avoid stress as it can trigger the accumulation of acne. Try saying no more often, it's just like when your plate is full, dont put more on it. Instead, practice finding some quiet time for yourself and try to rest more on weekends.

Indeed, there are no nippy fixes in treating acne and acne scars. It may involve a lot of processes and products which may vary depending on how you will utilize them or what your doctor will prescribe.

However, the best part of treating them is to stay on the natural side. Use skin care products that contain biological substances and try to maintain a no stressed life. In this way, you will surely obtain that wonderful skin you had before.

Bio Skin Care cream is a natural treatment for Acne scars due to its natural components. Clinical trials have shown that the best skin renewal and skin repair results are achieved when exfoliation of damaged cells is combined with SKIN REGENERATING ACTIVATORS. Thats why this cream will resolve your skin problems.

Other reasons:

1. This cream also contains natural antibiotics that fights infection

2. It has natural skin regenerating ingredients that eliminates, if not eradicate, dark or red spots which causes the ugly appearance of scars.

3. It has glycolic acid that facilitates skin renewal.

4. It has vitamins that curbs swelling and irritation.

5. It promotes the elaboration of the two most important ingredients that facilitate skin renewal: elastin and collagen. These two are the one responsible in maintaining the moisture in the skin at the same time preserving its elasticity as the skin is on its healing process.

One of the distressing things about growing up, is that sooner or later, SPOTS and other nasty blemishes start to appear over your face. Some of us unfortunately seem to get it far worse than others.

To teenagers or young men, it may be laughed off as 'becoming a man' but to a young lady it can feel catastrophic. However, most adolescents go through the same period of discomfort. You will come out of it at some point.

It is common to note that acne can have adverse effects on an acne suffers' self-esteem.

It can even ruin a social butterflys social life, as acne often makes you want to hide away.

All of a sudden, parties become a source of total despair and loneliness.

Your self confidence can hit rock bottom and you may find yourself feeling lonely and depressed. You may not even want your picture taken; you would rather sit in the dark corner at parties.

The solution for this is simple: acne treatment.

Treating this can be compared to dieting.

It takes will power, time, and dedication before you can see the fruits of your labor. But - what is worse - cutting down on some of your pleasurable foods, or being able to face the lime light without shrinking into a hole?

Clear skin is always an indication of healthy skin, and when you have acne, you feel like a castaway or reject of society. But often there is no need to let your acne get you down, when you can use acne treatment products.

These products are there for your benefit and will help you.

You are not alone and there are people who understand your acne plight and are willing to help you get that clear healthy skin. Youngsters throughout the ages have had the same problem so don't be afraid to ask for help.

All you have to do is reach out and grab that help.

Hold on for dear life until this worrisome issue is not a major social problem in your life. Find the right treatment product for your skin type and enjoy the benefits it gives when you use it to its maximum.

This is your ticket out of your misery and loneliness and sometimes you need to make that effort to find the product that will indeed make a difference in your life.

Even though acne treatment products work, don't buy into the hype. One thing that really annoys me are suppliers who prey on your condition to persuade you to part with useless jellies and other balms for your skin.

Be a well-informed buyer; and spend some time scouting before you buy. Especially, ask your friends (if you aren't too embarrassed)

Dont buy the first treatment product you see. Research all the ones you have chosen first and find if they have any side effects before you take out your wallet.

The choice is yours. Use it wisely and you will enjoy the benefit of higher self-esteem that comes with clearer skin. All of a sudden, the attraction to the opposite sex will shine through, and you will emerge like a caterpillar into a butterfly.

There are several reasons people develop acne problems. Some of them, like genetic tendencies and hormonal changes in teens, are normal functions of the body and the acne will usually go away in time. However, there are other factors that we do have control over and these are diet related.

Although hard to pinpoint, what you consume is by and large one of the main causes of severe acne cases. Your body has several ways to eliminate waste products. These are through your bowels, your urinary tract and kidneys, your liver, your lungs, and your skin. When your body eliminates waste through the skin, the skin pores commonly get clogged up and acne develops. It is this elimination of waste through the skin that is the focus of this article.

The first thing that I would like to point out is that today's diet, for most people, is simply garbage. Too many people have very poor diets that consists of fast foods or foods that are heavily processed and contain a ton of chemicals. Just look at the ingredients on any package and you will see what I mean.

If you go back a hundred years or so and examine the diets then, the food was fresh, void of any chemicals other than manure for fertilizer, and either grown on their own soil or a nearby farm. Back then, the population was much smaller and they tended to group together in small clusters that the local farms could sustain. You don't have that today. Today, people live everywhere, sometimes far away from their food source. That food has to be harvested and preserved to prevent rotting until it can reach someone's table hundreds, if not thousands, of miles away. It's mainly a logistical problem of keeping the food fresh for transport. That is the main reason that the advent of chemicals and preservatives came into the food chain. Every kind of food has this problem. You have to look very hard to find food that doesn't contain these toxic chemicals. It is the bodies attempt to rid itself of these foreign substances that is the root cause for acne problems today. Also, it shouldn't surprise you to learn that most of the chronic illnesses that exist today, were unheard of prior to the 20th century. Even President Eisenhower's personal physician stated once that he didn't see his first heart attack victim until the 1920's. Cancer didn't exist, nor did diabetes and heart disease. When I was young, old people got cancer and diabetes. Today, children get it also. You are what you eat, as they say. So, give serious thought to a diet consisting of nothing but organically grown foods that are pesticide free, and your acne problems will disappear and your overall health will improve.

The first thing that I would change in my diet is the consumption of dairy products, and cow's milk in particular. Today's milk contains so many preservatives, steroids, and growth hormones that it is a leading cause of acne and other health related problems. Acne is the least of these. Cardiovascular problems develop because milk is the leading contributor of plaque and mucus in the body. Nutritionists are becoming increasingly aware of the problems caused by cow's milk. Numerous studies have been made and presented to The New England Journal of Medicine about the health consequences of consuming cow's milk. Good substitutes are goat's milk or soy milk. The milk lobby has done a very good job of presenting a case that milk is a good source of vitamin D and calcium. It's not. Green leafy vegetables are a much better source for calcium. There are even several studies that state that past the age of three, the human body is incapable of digesting cow's milk, which gives credibility to the plaque build up and mucus build up in the bodies of heavy milk drinkers. So replacing cow's milk with either goat's milk or soy milk is the first step I would take to get rid of acne. Replace margarine with real butter if you must use any at all. Believe it or not, margarine is just one molecule away from being plastic. In fact, if you set a tub of margarine out in the sun, it will turn into a black greasy substance that bugs and insects will avoid. I guess they have better sense than humans.

Other areas I would take a strong hard look at is the consumption of red meat and processed sugars, for the same reasons. They are heavily laced with chemicals, especially red meat. Consider replacing red meat with fish, in particular, deep salt water fish. The reason there is the deep water doesn't contain near the pollutants that shallow water has, plus the Omega 3 Fatty Acids that deep water fish contain are good for the heart. Look at your sugar intake and make changes there. Don't even consider sugar substitutes like aspartame, saccharin, and others as they are highly toxic and there is a growing body of evidence pointing to that. If you need a sugar substitute, consider stevia, which is composed of crushed organic chrysanthemum leaves. Stevia can be obtained at your local health food store. It's much sweeter than table sugar and healthy for you.

Get rid of tap water in your diet. Do you realize that sulfuric acid is used in water purification plants to rid the water of waste products. Now that's a comforting thought, isn't it? Use distilled water or purified water instead. Drink at least 8 glasses a day to keep the body properly hydrated and the metabolic processes functioning properly.

If you try all the suggestions that I have mentioned, you will most likely get rid of your acne problem and improve your health in numerous areas, however, if you still have problems with acne after trying all that, then consider going to a food allergist and getting tested. You most likely have some sort of food allergy that is manifesting itself through outbreaks of acne. It's highly likely that you will find an allergy to some kind of grain product.

In summary, a truly healthy diet is one that is organic in nature, void of all the chemicals, pesticides, and harmful fertilizers. Consuming nothing but organic fruits and vegetables, fish, whole grains, nuts and beans, juices and distilled water, will go a long way towards eliminating acne in your life forever and improving your overall health drastically. Adding daily exercise will also help you eliminate toxins through your sweat glands and skin pores more efficiently.

To suffer from acne? This affliction can be a rather tumultuous one if you don't seek to proper treatment. The way we look, as we all know, has a huge effect on our confidence, or lack there of. So how does your complexion look? You are certainly not alone can happen to have acne, but it isn't the end of the world by any means either. It's time to stand up straight and tall, and take control of your life. With the numerous resources at our beck and call, there's absolutely no reason why we can't push to be acne free. While proper skin care and reliable treatments are essential in eradicating blemishes, a great many individuals overlook the other things. It's not just about what's on an outside ladies and gentlemen. We have to consider what goes on inside us as well. What we're talking about here are acne diets. What are you eating?

You may not even be familiar with the subject of acne diets, it isn't talked about too much. This pertains to what you consume and how it affects your skin. I remember couple years ago sitting in the doctor's office in with my lovely wife is there because she was heading back pain. I had really chapped lips at the time and asked her if she had any Chapstick in her purse. This caught the doctor's attention when she looked at me and said, "You know, the condition of your lips actually relates to your diet." Huh? She told me that eating the right nutrients and drinking the right fluids on a regular basis would fully heal my left and and keep them from becoming chapped. This astounded me.

However, since then I have started to heat and more healthy they can guess what... I rarely have chapped lips anymore. It's bizarre how some things work. I guess those doctors to actually know what they're talking about. Anyhow, this premise also applies to our skin. Did you know that the food you eat excretes back through your pores? Sounds weird doesn't? Well, certain substances from the foods do actually make their way out of our pores. This gives whole new meaning to the phrase, you are what you eat. This is precisely why acne diets are so vitally important for some individuals. Foods high in fat and grease have been proven to cause blemishes. I'm talking about fast foods, specifically.

When it comes to acne diets, foods that are great for your skin include, fruits and vegetables, organic products, non-processed items, and of course water, drink lots of water. I highly recommend that you give acne diets a chance if blemishes are haunting you. You should definitely improve your complexion if you give it a fair shot. For more information on acne diets, jump on the Internet where there's more information than you can handle.

Did you know that your diet could cause acne, or even worsen it?

Well, check out this latest research done at the American Academy of Dermatology in Harvard.

The facts are that despite what was commonly thought of chocolate and greasy food would cause acne, this is long proven wrong. Now the basic stable data here is that what cause acne to manifest itself are during hormonal fluctuations and genetics. Therefore the times prone to experience this uncomfortable condition is during puberty, pregnancy and menopause.

But the latest research point to one or two exceptions involving dairy products. The researches analyzed about 50,000 peoples habits and diets specially what they ate during high school. Those who habitually drank two-three cups of milk a day where 22% prone to have severe acne compared to those who only drank one cup a week or less.

Skim milk had the greatest effect. Cream cheese and cottage cheese were also related to outbreaks, while chocolate and grease were not. Basically researchers were certain to prove the effect of hormones on milk, other studies had come out with similar findings and share this discovery.

You also have to know that food that contain iodides, like shellfish and soy sauce, might also exacerbate acne. Iodides are thought to play a role in the inflammation, this confirmed by Dr Diane S. Berson, an assistant professor of dermatology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

So, the bottom line is that certain foods particularly dairy products, has proven to generate acne and some times, severe condition of acne.

But finally, there's something you can do to end the frustration and suffering brought on by acne. With just a few simple daily steps, you can heal the pimples you have today and help stop new ones from forming tomorrow. Whether you're a man or a woman, 15 or 50...you can have the clear, blemish-free skin you've always wanted.
